Pregnancy should be a stress-free time, but for many moms, it’s filled with anxiety and a heavy to-do list! During the first and last trimesters, many women struggle to complete daily household chores, not to mention the added chores that come with welcoming a new baby.

Eternal Bloom Maternity LLC pregnancy care can help with this often exhausting prenatal period—we can help with cleaning, laundry (including all the new baby clothes that need to be folded and put away), errands, grocery shopping, keeping the family fed through meal prep and/or delivery services, and more. We also make sure to pay attention to all the little details that need attention, like picking up the mail, taking the dog out, filling the cat’s water bowl, and opening the door when mom needs a break.

Our pregnancy care is especially helpful for women who don’t have family nearby, those who work part-time or full-time, those whose spouses work long hours or travel frequently, those with young children at home, those on bed rest, and any pregnant woman who needs extra rest and loving help!

Adjusting to Life with a Newborn

With Eternal Bloom Maternity LLC, you can rest, recover, and adjust to life with a newborn with more confidence, peace, and enjoyment. Life with a newborn is so much better when you’re not exhausted!!

Research has found that neglecting physical and emotional health during the delicate postpartum period can lead to infections, depression, and long-term physical side effects. The good news is that direct support in the home has been shown to help reduce postpartum depression and increase breastfeeding commitment. We love caring for moms so they can focus on bonding with their newborn.

The time after your baby is born doesn’t have to be stressful – it can and should be one of the most enriching and fulfilling times of your life if you understand your needs and plan for adequate help and care.

New Baby Care

American Postpartum Practices

American postpartum practices lack the care desperately needed by new mom and dads. Today women are expected to return to their household duties and/or work very shortly after having given birth. This custom is not only unnatural but can also be exhausting for new parents who need to reserve their energy to adapt to the addition and rhythms of a new baby/babies. A lying in period of 4 weeks or more disappeared from American culture in the 19th century and has never returned, while most of the world continues to practice some version of this lying in period. A lying in period following childbirth helps to promote healing, encourage rest and protect the precious bonding period between mother and baby.
